Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy that uses hypnosis to help people make positive changes in their lives. I use relaxation techniques to induce a hypnotic state, also known as a trance. In this state, you will experience focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and deep relaxation. This means you will be highly focused on a thought or image, your mind is more open to accepting suggestions, which can be used for therapeutic purposes, such as changing habits or reducing stress, and you will feel a profound sense of deep relaxation.

How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by tapping into the subconscious mind, where our deeply rooted beliefs, habits, and emotions reside. Think of the mind as an iceberg: the conscious mind—the thoughts we're aware of—is just the tip, while the vast subconscious lies beneath the surface. Hypnotherapy bridges that gap, allowing us to influence the subconscious directly. By doing this, I can introduce positive suggestions that align with your goals, making it easier to adopt new habits or perspectives, and break bad habits, such as smoking. The subconscious holds emotional memories that influence behaviour, through hypnotherapy, we can work together to address and reframe these memories, reducing their negative impact on your every day life.

Deepening: Once you're in a light hypnotic state, I deepen the hypnosis, making you more receptive to suggestions.

Therapeutic Suggestions: In this state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, I deliver positive, goal-oriented suggestions tailored to your specific needs. These suggestions can help reframe negative thought patterns, reduce anxiety, improve habits, or address other issues.

Visualisation and Imagery: I may use guided imagery and visualisation to help you mentally rehearse desired changes or outcomes.
